Border 2 Advance Booking Report: Sunny Deol starrer is moving towards a strong opening day.

Border 2 Movie Release and Advance Booking: Bollywood is yet again ready to pull at the audiences’ heartstrings with another nostalgia-fuelled project, Border 2. The Anurag Singh directorial is releasing on January 23, and upon witnessing the advance bookings, the film seems to be heading towards a positive opening day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has sold over 1.1 lakh tickets, taking its collection to Rs 3.7 crore.

When block seats are taken into account, that number rises to Rs 7 crore. With two days left for further bookings, this number will increase without a doubt. Other sources, such as Bollywood Hungama, have reported that the final number of tickets sold will be 2.25 lakh and that the film will cross Rs 40 crore on opening day. If Border 2 does achieve this number, it will have a bigger opening day than Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, which earned Rs 28 crore on the first day.

It’s no secret that Dhurandhar went on to become the biggest Hindi film of 2025, earning Rs 828 crore net in India and Rs 1287 crore worldwide. Border 2 has already sold 1.17 lakh tickets across 9369 shows, achieving an average of 12 audience members per show. New Delhi leads the race, having sold tickets worth Rs 1 crore. It is followed by Maharashtra (30.1 lakh), Bengaluru (17.7 lakh) and Gujarat (18.72 lakh). These numbers are bound to increase right up until the point of the film’s release.

Sunny Deol’s last theatrical release was the Gopichand Malineni directorial Jaat, which earned Rs 9.5 crore on its opening day. The film went on to earn Rs 88.26 crore net domestically and Rs 118 crore worldwide. Varun Dhawan’s last film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, minted Rs 9.25 crore on its first day and went on to earn Rs 61.85 crore net in the country. Now both the leading men have stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa and more to help bring more people into the theatres.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the cast of Border 2 includes Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Anya Singh, and Paramvir Cheema.
