
Hydroclave at Tata Memorial
The Tata Memorial Hospital has replaced its incinerator with Asia8217;s first hydroclave to dispose bio-medical waste. The hydroclave was inaugurated by chairman of Central Pollution Control Board, Dilip Biswas on Friday.
Biswas said waste management has not been able to attract the attention of managements of most hospitals in the country and a majority of doctors were also ignorant about it. A state board should be set up to advise governments on waste developments.
Charity show and bazaar
Archana Trust, a charitable institution working with the under-privileged and adivasis, has organised a musical performance on Sept 11 at the Birla Matushri Sabhagraha.
