Stone hurled at commuter
Yet another suburban train commuter was injured near his eyes when a flying stone landed on him while travelling in a train on Sunday between Mahim and Bandra stations of Western Railway. Railway police said it was the handiwork of an urchin flying kite on the tracks. The incident took place around 3.15 pm after the train left Mahim. The injured commuter Kailash Kumar alighted at the next station where Bandra railway police took him to Bhabha Hospital for treatment.
CR services disrupted
Suburban train services on Central Railway8217;s CR main line was delayed by over 20 minutes following a rail fracture near Bhandup station coupled with probems in two electricity feeder units. A CR spokesperson said both the incidents occurred at about 8.30 am resulting in bunching of local trains, both up and down tracks.
Truck, tempo stir put off
