After a break of a week, the monsoon has revived, and advanced over the North-East. ‘‘The revival is only on the Bay side but there are positive indications of advancement of monsoon along the West coast,’’ said B. Lal, acting DG of the Indian Metereological Department (IMD).
Today, the monsoon moved over parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal. According to the IMD, the wind pattern has changed and a monsoon-type flow is being manifested in rainfall.
