An advance party of bureaucrats will leave for Singapore on Thursday to prepare for Chief Minister Narendra Modi8217;s upcoming SEZ Yatra, which will begin from October 28.

Two senior bureaucrats 8212;Information Director and Industrial Extension Bureau MD Bhagyesh Jha and GUVNL chief Vijaylaxmi Joshi -8212; will lead the entourage in preparation for a grand presentation at the annual South East Asia CEO8217;s summit in Singapore.

Gujarat would be presented as an 8220;Architect of Prosperity8221; in the region with Modi himself making a powerpoint presentation to the select gathering of CEOs. 8220;We have been allotted three hours on October 31 to make a case for investment in Gujarat at the annual CEO retreat called Anthropolis Singapore. We have booked a big space there and our presentation will overshadow other events on that day,8221; said Jha.

From Singapore, Modi will head for China on a SEZ-spree that will take him to Schenzen, Deren, Pudong and Jurong jems, jewellery and electronics SEZs.

Head of Gujarat Maritime Board GMB HK Dash will accompany Modi during this leg of the journey that will last till November 6.

Focussed on getting international business groups this time, the visit is part of Modi Government8217;s efforts to attract investments during the Global Investor8217;s Summit to be held at Ahmedabad in January 2007.

While Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani has already been to the US this month, other teams led by top industrialists in the state are headed for destinations across the globe including Europe and the Far-East.
