NEW DELHI, August 24: Hosts Salwan had mixed fortunes in the first round matches of the second Mikasa Salwan Volleyball tournament for boys under-18 at the school grounds here. While Salwan boys defeated Naval Public School 25-8, 25-5, Salwan Juniors went down 21-25, 16-25 to Delhi Tamil Education Association DTEA, Janakpuri.

In some of the other matches, Kendriya Vidyalaya defeated J D Tytler 25-14, 25-23 and Don Bosco downed DAV 27-25, 25-13. Andhra School conceded a game before beating Salwan Public School.
