Milk producers threaten stir

AHMEDNAGAR, Nov 17: The milk Producers Association has threatened to pour milk in front of the district collectorate here if the milk produced in the district is not collected by the authorities within two days.

The Government milk scheme in Mumbai has discontinued the collection of daily milk from the Ahmednagar Milk Producers Association on account of the excess milk production in the State.

This has caused heavy losses to the milk producers in the district. Dadabhau Chitalkar, president of the association, has alleged that the current situation is the result of lack of planning by the government authorities.
