
VADODARA, July 13: Dr I G Patel, former Reserve Bank of India governor, will chair the day-long workshop on “Vadodara Model District Project: Training for Improving the Quality of Public Services”, to be conducted by the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) at its auditorium on Thursday.
Briefing newspersons about the workshop, district collector Anil Mukim said that though this workshop would be attended by about 200 senior officials of the Collectorate, all the about-500 officials would be imparted training by IRMA in later batches.
Besides Dr Patel, Thursday’s programme will have Prof Katar Singh, IRMA director, Dr Amrita Patel, NDDB chairperson, Dr V Kurien, IRMA chairman and Prof K P Reddy, chairman, IRMA Task Force, as main speakers. They, according to official information, would speak on communication technologies of the next millennium, the need to change the attitudes of government officials and the expectations of people from government offices in contemporary Indian society.
