As the match here headed nowhere, attention turned to Karachi, where the Third Test begins on Sunday. Assurances have already begun to come in thick and fast over the possibility of the Karachi wicket being a decisive one.

Ehsan Arain, curator at Karachi8217;s National Stadium, has already finalised two pitches which have much more grass and moisture than the ones in Lahore and Faisalabad.

The tracks in Karachi should give seam bowlers some help 8212; if they are allowed to remain the way they are at the moment.

The PCB has also sent its chief curator Agha Zahid and senior groundsman Haji Bashir to look after the final preparations in the lead up to the match.

In Faisalabad, meanwhile, the crowd decided to join the pitch-battle. Several posters were seen in the stands on Tuesday with fans asking the PCB to ensure that Test matches were more entertaining and result-oriented.
