
Chennai, June 17: The Multi-Disciplinary Monitoring Agency MDMA constituted by the Union Government to hold further investigation into the Rajiv assassination case, was permitted by the Designated Court-I to proceed with the investigation today.
The court also allowed a petition from the MDMA of the CBI to hold the court proceedings in-camera and posted the matter for further hearing on July 21.
The MDMA filed a petition to permit it to hold further investigations in the matter in the light of the fresh materials which came up before the Justice Jain Commission of Inquiry8217;.
Based on the report of the Jain Commission, the BJP Government prepared an action taken report ATR and constituted the MDMA to hold further investigation in the case.
CBI special public prosecutor P Rajamanickam filed the petition under Sec. 1738 CrPC.
