VADODARA, July 15: The Mayo Hospital management has not been admitting patients for the past couple of days following a major demonstration staged by a section of its employees8217; union for early release of their salaries.

According to official information, the agitating employees smashed the window panes of a cabin in the hospital entrance and cut off telephone lines.

Admitting the disturbance, hospital vice-president Somesh Vaishnav told Express Newsline that a section of employees was seeking immediate release of their salaries, which the management was paying in instalments. The 200-odd paramedical employees, whose salaries had been delayed because of a financial crunch, were, however, pacified later, he said.
