Maradona relieved as daughter recovers

Diego Maradona said that seeing his daughter recover from a worrying setback with her pregnancy represented the high point of his week.

Diego Maradona, fresh from his opening win as Argentina coach, said that seeing his daughter recover from a worrying setback with her pregnancy represented the high point of his week.

Maradona8217;s daughter Giannina, the girlfriend of Argentine international Sergio Aguero, was hospitalised in Madrid on Wednesday and the football legend flew to Spain immediately after seeing his team beat Scotland 1-0 in Glasgow.

8220;Giannina will be going home, all is well and she will sleep peacefully. It8217;s my biggest victory this week,8221; Maradona told Argentine radio 8216;La Red8217; on Thursday.

The World Cup winner arrived in Madrid with his former wife Claudia Villafane, the mother of Giannina and his other daughter Dalma.
