
State to support annual CSI convention
The State Government will support the annual convention organised by the Computer Society of India CSI to be held between October 31 and November 6 at the Nehru Centre, here.
Chief Secretary Arun Bongirwar said in a press release that Maharashtra has always recognised the importance of having an efficient, working and responsive infrastructure for stimulating industrial development. Hence, conscious efforts have been made to identify the key infrastructure requirements of the industry, particularly information technology.
Over 200 exhibitors will showcase their products in the convention which will focus on spectrum of technologies, developments, products, solutions and service to build expand and manage future developments and growth.
By-elections for ZP, panchayat samiti on Nov 5
By-elections in some zilla parishads and panchayat samitis in the State will be held on November 5, 1999. Those who wish to contest for the elections can registertheir names between October 16 and 21. The elections forms will be scrutinised on October 22. Candidates who wish to withdraw their forms can do so between October 28 and November 1. The results will be announcedon November 6.
Panchayat elections in Dapoli town will be held on December 5. Nomination forms will be accepted between October 29 and November 15 while the forms will be scrutinised on November 16. The last date for withdrawal of forms is November 24. Results for the elections will be announced on December 6.
