Manimuthar Reservoir renovated

TIRUNELVELI, Nov 18: The Manimuthar Reservoir, one of the major irrigation systems in Tirunelveli district has been renovated recently by adopting the 8216;upstream face treatment technology8217; at an outlay of Rs 39 lakhs, with financial assistance from the World Bank. The dam has an impounding capacity of 5511 mcft, is located across the Manimuthar river, a major tributary of Tamiraparani river.
