Mandrax manufacturing unit unearthed

AHMEDABAD, AUG 24: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence DRI and Central Excise sleuths unearthed a mandrax tablets manufacturing unit near Vadodara today and seized mandrax tablets worth over Rs 70 lakh, DRI sources said.

The modus operandi of the persons involved was to put to use closed and sick drug manufacturing units for making the narcotic substances, sources said. Mandrax making substances and machinery were seized in the raid, sources said, adding an employee working in the unit was also arrested in this connection.
