Now that Greg Chappell has finally called it quits, attention is quickly shifting to two rather critical reports awaited at the Board8217;s working committee meting on April 6-7.

The first, of course, will be Chappell8217;s report, but probably more important will be the report to be submitted by Central Zone selector and manager of the Indian team to the West Indies, Sanjay Jagdale.

Jagdale8217;s report will form the basis of what the board thinks went wrong in the West Indies.

8220;We believe in him Jagdale to be a fair man and will rely on the report he submits to the board,8221; a top functionary in the board said.

Jagdale8217;s report to the board, therefore, is eventually expected to become BCCI8217;s beacon in solving the dark mysteries that surround the Indian team.

If sources are to be believed then Jagdale has already dropped hints of how the coach and the players had absolutely no communication between them during the tour. To top that, the manager has not given any of the team members read: seniors the clean chit throughout India8217;s disastrous performances.

8220;It isn8217;t the best thing to speculate at the moment and whatever said will be speculation but nothing else. It is better to wait for the report and then comment,8221; said the board official.

While Jagdale8217;s report, even if it happens to be supportive of Chappell, will now no more keep him from returning to Australia. Rather, it is expected to draw the line on the 8220;authority and domination8221; that most senior members in the Indian team enjoy at the cost of others.

Chappell will also be submitting his own version of the proceedings in the West Indies which is also expected to be packed with aggression. Chappell8217;s report, though, is mainly targeted at how the seniors have been selfish in their duties as a team. 8220;The seniors have been a 8216;mafia8217; in the team,8221; he recently told the media and if sources are right then his report will speak of the same.
