In keeping with the kitschy, wildly colourful themes on his garments, designer Manish Arora, completely revamped minimalist bar, Aqua at Park Hotel, to launch his limited edition make-up collection by Mac. The backdrop at Aqua was a phallic shaped lipstick while a makeshift ramp had shocking pink, oversized palm trees on either side 8212; except models didn8217;t come careening down the ramp, but plonked themselves on chairs wearing striking baroque inspired make-up. Arora, visibly enjoying the party, said, 8220;After designing cars, watches and garments of course, this was next.8221; Will we see socialites and models flaunt these titillating and wild colours on their face? 8220;It is baroque and it8217;s in,8221; smiled Arora, breezily swivelling a glass of wine. Guests sporting his Indian goddess8217;s shirts milled around enjoying the ambience. Spotted enjoying the party were Benedict Alliot, French cultural attachee in a Manish Arora T-shirt, Caroline Young, Ambassador of France, Jerome Bonnafont, socialite Tanisha Mohan and Ameeta Seth.
