8226; The Delhi high court must ensure that every paise of outstanding dues to civic agencies is recovered from members of Parliament 8216;Your lordships, here are the defaulter MPs8217; names8217;, IE, March 3. Elected representatives know how to use basic facilities and forget all about it at the time of payment.

8226; This is a very good exercise undertaken by The Indian Express. You must ensure that our members of Parliament are held accountable.

Crossed sticks

8226; It is still not too late for the Indian hockey team 8216;India held by minnows8217;, IE, March 3. There are more important matches for India to play after a disappointing draw against Belgium. Put Dhanraj Pillay on a special flight at the earliest to join the team. India must display a do-or-die spirit if they are sincere about booking a place in the Olympics.

8226; The Indian hockey team8217;s performance against Belgium in Madrid on Tuesday made for a pathetic spectacle. It was evident from the start that there was no gameplan in place and the forwards were clueless each time they got possession near the D. We don8217;t deserve to qualify if we continue to play like this.

Simply offended

8226; Prejudiced! Biased! Racist! I denounce the very existence of the ICC 8216;Revealed: ICC8217;s black book8217;, IE, March 3. It is now proved beyond doubt that the ICC is anti-India. What about Brat oops, Brad Williams, McGrath, Flintoff, Hayden, Pointing8230; the list is just endless. The ICC8217;s criticism of Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan is intolerable and we should protest in the strongest manner possible.

Fee fiefdom

8226; Subsidising students at the Indian Institutes of Management, who are guaranteed top-bracket salaries once they graduate, but de-subsidising those university students pursuing degrees which do not fetch high salaries makes no sense. Human Resources Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi8217;s initiative to reduce the fee at the IIMs may have been upheld by the courts, but that does not mean that public opinion should be ignored.
