
MUMBAI, SEPT 10: Mahindras Juniors hammered Dadar XI B 5-1 in the Gulf Oil Senior Division WIFA Football league at the Cooperage on Friday. Amin Ansari, Chetan Solanki, Intekhab Alam, Sajid Ansari and Shahid Ansari scored the goals while Umesh Shetty reduced the margin for Dadar XI B.
In the other Senior Divison match, Gulf Oil and MPT drew 1-1. Danny Carvalho scored for Gulf Oil while Suraj Sheiza equalised for MPT.
BPCL hold Rangers
BPCL Refineries held Borivli Rangers goalless in the MDFA Chattrapati Shivaji Trophy Division I football league at the St Xavier8217;s ground, Parel, today.
Earlier, Podar College held KC College 2-2 in the Division III-A encounter. Francis Mel and Rishi Chavan netted for Podar. Kevin Oliver and Fouad Ahmed accounted for KC.
Anand, Vanisha in lead
After the first two days of play, Bitu Anand and Vanisha Jagwani, both from Mumbai, took the lead in the men8217;s and women8217;s sections, respectively, of the first Indian bowling Masters tournament at the Bowling Company court, Lower Parel.
The men and women winners will represent India in the AMF World Cup bowling championships in Las Vegas.
Bitu Anand finished with a total score of 1,459 points with an average of 182.375, while Vanisha Jagwani finished the first-round of eight games with 1,117 points, averaging 139.625.
Johnny Kirpalani 1,425, avg: 178.125 and Amit Gaur 1,413, avg: 176.625 are in the second and third position, respectively in the men8217;s draw.
Shibani Kapur 1,114 avg 139.25 and Chaitali Sah 1,110 avg 138.75 are a close second and third, respectively, in the women8217;s draw.
