The ICC Chief Executives8217; Committee CEC, which began at Lord8217;s on Friday, is historic for two reasons. First, it8217;s the last time cricket8217;s top bosses will meet at Lord8217;s; the ICC headquarters now shifts to Dubai. And two, by the time the meeting ends, one-day cricket may never be the same again. Some of the key changes planned for the game:

8226; Socceristaion: A substitute at any point of the game. Makes the role of coach and skipper more prominent and challenging

8226; Field unrestrictions: Restrictions only for first 10 overs, then two mandatory blocks of five overs each 8212; according to fielding captain8217;s choosing

8226; Umpiring consultants: On-field umpires to discuss any aspect of decision with TV umpire. Barring the line decisions, discretion stays with the on-field umpire

8226; Bat controversy no more: Bat specifications to be settled once and for all, to end any controversies of the nature of Ponting8217;s willow

8226; How to appeal: To consider amendments to ICC conduct code on right to appeal against any ICC rulings
