Life comes full cycle 8212; PCMC men set to pedal green ideas

PUNE, Sept 25: Ever imagined civic officers and corporators cycling their way to the municipal corporation. This is precisely what the civic functionaries of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation PCMC have decided to do on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the corporation on October 11. And this is their way to create public awareness on environmental problems surrounding us.

Making a departure from holding routine programmes such as mock general body meeting, the civic functionaries have mooted the idea to organise special programmes with the participation of class IV employees who are always engaged in their daily chores. A special programme is also to be organised for the senior citizens.

After reaching the corporation on the bicycles, the officers and the corporators will be participating in a rally for highlighting the environmental problems. The decisions were taken at a meeting presided by Mayor Madhukar Pawle.
