MUMBAI, June 4: The skins of over 400 snakes and six leopards will be burnt by Environment and Forests minister Chandrakant Khaire,to mark the World Environment Day tomorrow. Deputy Conservator of Forests Nitin Kakodkar said that the skins which were seized by the Wildlife department, along with some animal skin products, will be burnt in front of Hornbill House, the office of Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS). Several awareness functions and plantation activities will be taken up by the BNHS, World Wide Fund for Nature, and the Sheriff of Mumbai as part of the programme.
