NASHIK, June 17: Notwithstanding the tall talk by Guardian Minister Babanrao Gholap and a visit by Labour Minister Sabir Shaikh, labour unrest in the poultry farms of the Camp;M Group has worsened.
The recent stabbing of a local leader of the Indian National Trade Union Congress INTUC, Vishwasrao Deshmukh, has brought the dispute back into focus.
Police have arrested six members of the CITU-affiliated union in connection with the assault. The management has accused CITU leader Dr KL Karad of masterminding the attack on Deshmukh.
