MUMBAI, NOV 13: Leg spinner Anil Kumble is unlikely to play in the two-match Test series against the visiting Zimbabweans due to shoulder pain, the Indian cricket board secretary Jaywant Lele said on Monday.

Lele told PTI over telephone from Baroda that Kumble has not yet produced the fitness certificate to the Board and in all probability would miss the first Test at Delhi from November 18-22 and the second at Nagpur November 25-29.

The Indian team for the first Test would be picked at Delhi on Tuesday.

Kumble is also likely to consult South African orthopaedic surgeon Dr Mark Fergusson when the latter makes a visit to India for a medical seminar in Chennai later this month.
