HYDERABAD, April 28: Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and CWC member Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy today felt that a realignment of political forces in the State was likely in view of the changed circumstances.

“It is somewhat early to say but there is a possibility of having some understanding or adjustment,” Reddy said when asked if the Communists would come closer to the Congress after they distanced from the Telugu Desam Party following its support to the BJP.

Deploring the deteriorating law and order situation in the State, the senior Congress leader said that the Centre shoulddepute a team to study the situation as it did in the case of some states.

“There have been a spate of incidents in the recent past which suggested that the government has totally failed to maintain law and order. Even temples are being burgled,” he said citing the recent theft of valuable ornaments from Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada.

On the Power Reforms Bill, the former CM felt that the government should have adopted a more cautious approach before getting the legislation adopted in the House.
