Khatami hears out CCMB plea

Iranian President Mohammad Khatami appears to be favourably disposed to the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology CCMB8217;s proposal for a collaborative project for cloning the Asiatic cheetah.

Khatami, on a two-day visit to the city, spent about 50 minutes at the CCMB, a premier research centre here, and heard the plea advanced by CCMB director Dr Lalji Singh. At the end of the visit, Khatami turned to Singh and said with a smile: 8216;8216;See you soon in Iran8217;8217;.
