Keylong-Leh road reopened for traffic

Leh road has been reopened for vehicular traffic after a snow-clearance operation was launched by General Road Engineering ForceGREF, a wing of Border Roads Organisation BRO. C Pal Rasu, Deputy Commissioner Lahaul and Spiti said so far he had no information about any casualty on Keylong-Leh road particularly at Baralacha Pass. He said no tourist or passenger is stranded at Baralacha Pass or Chander Tal area of Spiti. Though several persons were stuck in Spiti valley after heavy snowfall. He appealed to the people particularly the media persons to beware of rumours about the snow and alleged reports of missing persons in Chandertal and Baralacha region were wrong. Though he confirmed death of one Chhering Dorje.
