Kalsi helps NDSCA win Campus title

NEW DELHI, JULY 14: Naresh Divaker Sashi Cricket Academy won the Campus Cricket under-16 Tournament beating Ramjas Institute by two wickets in the final at Ramjas sports complex. Batting first, Ramjas Institute scored 207 for five in the stipulated 35 overs. Updesh Sharma cracked 89 while Rahul Kerkar made 57. Upesh Sharma8217;s knock was awell-executed one and his stand with Rahul Kerkar 57 restored Ramjas Institute when they were in dire straits. But for them, they would have folded much earlier, leaving the task much easier for their opponents. Anubhav Diwan 5 for 42 was the most successful bowler for the winners.

In reply, NDSC Academy achieved the target in 34 overs, reaching 209 for nine. Jagdev Kalsi contributed an unbeaten 105. Anubhav Diwan 62 and Kunal Kuba 37 were the other principal scorers. Surabh Sareen and Piyush Atil were the main successful bowlers for Ramjas Institute. Anubhav Diwan best all-rounder, Jagdev Kalsi best batsman and Vikash Chhabra best bowler were also awarded for their performane during the tournament.
