JAIPUR, APRIL 2: National Union of Journalists India NUJI and Journalists Association of Rajasthan JAR on Sunday urged Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to immediately look into the non-submission of the report by the Manisana Singh Wage Board for journalists and non-journalists.
The report was not handed over to the Government by the Wage Board so far despite Union Labour Minister Dr Satyanarayan Jatia8217;s announcment that the report would be submitted by the Board by March 31 this year, said NUJI national vice-president Atmadeep and general secretary Gulab Batra and JAR president Anand Joshi and general secretary Suresh Pareek in a joint statement here.
They said the non-submission of the report was an act of quot;betrayalquot; with journalists and non-journalists across the country. Both unions demanded that the PM himself should intervene in the issue and added that the print media has shown enough patient in this regard.
