NEW DELHI, May 21: A 20-year-old boy threw acid on a girl after she spurned his advances. He then drank insecticide in a bid to commit suicide in Madangir on Thursday afternoon.

Police said, Rajesh and the girl Manju, aged 15, lived in the same locality. She had repeatedly told him that she was not interested in him. On Thursday afternoon Manju was returning home after writing her exams when Rajesh threw acid on her near the Hanuman Mandir bus stand.
