Jharkhand IG146;s bail plea rejected

Suspended Jharkhand Inspector General of Police S Natarajan, who surrendered to police on Monday after being on the run for over a year following his implication in a sleaze case, was denied bail by a local court here on Tuesday.

The court of Additional Judicial Commissioner Anil Kumar Choudhary directed the authorities to frame charges against Natarajan on Wednesday in connection with the sexual exploitation of a tribal girl, according to assistant public prosecutor Durlabh Mahto. The suspended police officer was on the run for 15 months.
