CHANDIGARH, Nov 24: Jasminder Singh8217;s ton 103 helped Punjab University Campus beat RSD College, Ferozepur by seven wickets and enter the semifinal of the Punjab University Inter-College cricket tournament here today.

They will now meet SD College, Chandigarh in the semifinal on November 26.

SD College beat Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh by 46 runs in another quarterfinal tie. PUC lost only three wickets while chasing RSD Ferozepur8217;s total of 206. Jasminder stroked freely, hitting 18 boundaries in his knock. Manoj Rajan 32 n.o., Balraj 32 and Gautam Sharma 29 were the other scorers.

Earlier, RSD Ferozepur owed it to Vijay8217;s knock of 50 and Vishal8217;s 39. For PUC Nitin Gupta and Amit Dehra captured three wickets each.

In the SD College-PEC game, Gulrez Khan stroked freely to score 83 runs, which included ten boundaries as SD College scored 213 in 47 overs. Besides Gulrez Khan, Nagesh Gupta 35, Ravinder Nain 24 and Prabhjot 20 were other batsmen who scored for the eventual winners.

Dharmvir and Munish took two wickets each for PEC.

Chasing the total, Munish8217;s 57 runs were of no avail as others succumbed to the SD spinners Jaisreet and Sanjay Dhull. Jaisreet claimed four wickets while Sanjay got two.
