It’s a mischief, I’ve not sought any probe: Hazare

PUNE, Jan 24: Noted social activist Anna Hazare today denied having sent any letter to Maharashtra Governor, seeking a probe against State Industry Minister Leeladhar Dake for his role in dealings of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

A report was published today in this regard on the basis of a letter, levelling charges against the minister and bearing Hazare’s signature.

Clarifying that he had not sent any such letter either to the Governor or to this newspaper, Hazare said he returned from a tour of Rajasthan late Saturday night. He said the letter appeared to be “a mischief by someone out to malign my image”.
