ITC Dy Chairman joins Birla group

MUMBAI, Mar 26: The Aditya Birla group has appointed deputy chairman of ITC Ltd, Saurabh Misra, as director of Birla Management Centre BMC the apex policy making body for the group.

As a BMC director, Misra will be responsible for the group8217;s interests in the telecom business, HGL Industries and Essel Mining Ltd. Additionally, he will be overseeing the group-wide initiatives of the global marketing strategy cell, located at Delhi. Misra will be involved in the formulation of key strategies and policies of the group.
