ISO 9001 for MDL

MUMBAI, May 20: The shipbuilding division of Mazagon Docks Ltd MDL, the country8217;s premier shipyard, was awarded the prestigious ISO-9001 certificate by the Indian Register of Quality Systems IRQS and accredited by Raddvoor Accreditie RVA Netherlands.

The certificate was presented to Captain S V Nair, Chairman and Managing Director of MDL by K Madhok, Chief Executive of the Indian Register of Shipping at the shipyard last Thursday.

With this certification, the quality assurance system of the shipyard has attained international quality standard of ISO-9001 in shipbuilding, ship repair, design, development, production, installation and servicing of all surface ships and floating craft.
