
VADODARA, Sept 3: Indian Oil Corporation Company Limited8217;s mega projects like the Panipat Refinery, diesel hydro-desulphurisation units at Haldia, and the Mathura Refinery, amounting to Rs 5,000 crore, are expected to be completed by 1998-99, according to executive director of Gujarat Refinery P S Rao.
Speaking at a function organised here to mark IOC8217;s Foundation Day on Tuesday, he said a coker at Digboi refinery was also expected to be completed by the year-end. Three on-going projects, were also likely to be completed by 2000.
He said Indian Oil had begun marketing its products and services abroad and was also operating Zambia National Oil Company8217;s oil terminal from Ndola.
A cultural programme was also organised on the occasion.
Among others, Deputy general manager HR Kamla Das, secretary of Indian Oil Officers8217; Association M B Pandya, manager corporate communications Dr Ajit Pathak and a number of retired employees of Indian Oil were present for the function.
