MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 12: Only 67 contenders are left for the nine-event The Nanoli Stud Clash Of The Titans slated for Sunday at Mahalakshmi, making a sad commentary on the future of horse racing in Western India.

Five races were enmarked for the two teams consisting of Indian and foreign riders. It was expected that each of them will have a minimum of 18 runners to be equally divided by draws. However, most of the events could not attract even half the expected numbers.

Indiscretion is poised to win The Dr SC Jain Sprinters’ Gold Trophy. There will also be a contest of skills linked with the tote for different pools. Attractive prices such as motor-bikes, TVs, fridges, music systems etc. will be given to the lucky winners by the sponsors, Nanoli Stud.
