CHENNAI, June 2: India has the maximum number of diabetic patients in the world, and is increasing alarmingly, according to Dr. A Ramachandran, Diabetic Research Centre Director. A recent study by the World Health Organisation showed that there are about 130 million diabetic patients in the world, of which the South East Asian countries constituted about two third of the total figure.
