HYDERABAD:
Right stopper back Satish Bharti of Tata Football Academy Bihar, will lead the Indian youth team in the eighth Asian Youth Football Group IV under-16 qualifying championship to be held here from July 24 to 28.

Team: Goal keepers: SG Mukherjee TFA, Bihar, Arindam Ghosh Bengal, Safir Ahmed UP.

Archery team
NEW DELHI:
A four-member Indian junior archery team left for Sweden early this morning to participate in the 5th Junior World Archery Championship being held at Sunne from July 21-26.

Viswash, Manoj Murmu, Harish Kerai and Gurucharan Besra will represent India in the World tourney.

BCCI parley
MUMBAI:
An informal discussion between the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI, Raj Singh Dungarpur and the Indian skipper and coach, Mohammed Azharuddin and Anshuman Gaekwad, is scheduled to be held here tomorrow.

Dungarpur said the meeting was an informal one to discuss mainly the modalities of the first preparatory camp for next year8217;s World Cup which is slated to be held at Chennai from Aug 21-Sept 5.

AITA clarifies
MUMBAI:
The secretary-general of the All India Tennis Association AITA, Ramesh Desai, today clarified that the Indian team for the Davis CupWorld Group relegation tie against Britain is not to be selected in Delhi in the first week of September.

8220;The four-member Indian Davis Cup squad has been chosen for the entire year and would remain the same unless a change is desired by selection committee chairman Shyam Minotra and non-playing captain Jaideep Mukherjee,8221; Desai said in a statement.

The Indian Cup squad chosen for the year comprises Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi, Prahlad Srinath and Syed Fazaluddin.
