CPIM to contest 3 LS, 23 Assembly seats
Kolhapur: Communist Party of India Marxist state secretary Prabhakar Sanzgiri announced that his party will contest three Lok Sabha and 23 Assembly seats in the State.

Addressing a press conference at Ichalkaranji, Sanzgiri said that Suryaji Salunkhe will be his party8217;s candidate in Ichalkaranji Assembly constituency.

The party8217;s candidates in other Assembly constituencies are Shankar Pujari, Sangli; Narasayya Adam, Solapur; and Prabhakar Mahableshwar, Satara. He said that the party will soon announce its candidates in Junnar Pune and Gadhinglaj Assembly constituencies.

Sanzgiri added that the CPIM has finalised its candidates in Malegaon Chintaman Gavit, Dahanu Rajaram Ozare and Nandurbar Bhuribai Shebale Parliamentary constituencies.

Mild tremor
Ahmednagar: Residents here reported a mild tremor around 5.55 a.m. on Friday.
