The elections to the DAV college Sector 10 college teachers8217; union were held on April 12. While Sudhish Sharma was elected president, V. K. Gupta was elected Secretary. Dr K. K. Sawal was elected vice-president, Dr A. S. Mathur, joint secretary and R. G. Garg, finance secretary, for the term 1999-2000.

New cash counter
The Chandigarh Telecom Department has opened a new on-line cash counter at the Telephone Building in Sector 7, Panchkula, for payment of telephone bills. This is the 15th on-line cash counter in the Chandigarh Telecom district, said a press release issued by K. S. Saini, Divisional Engineer customer services.
