Indian Hockey Federation president KPS Gill has categorically ruled out resigning despite growing pressure from all quarters.
8220;I am not going anywhere or quitting,8221; he told Shekhar Gupta on NDTV8217;s Walk the Talk. 8220;I have never been a quitter, and not in circumstances like this,8221; Gill said.
8220;I have set up an enquiry committee and we will wait for the report8230; a person is supposed innocent till proven guilty,8221; he said, referring to the recent bribe scandal involving IHF secretary K Jothikumaran. 8220;I will not take action because of the clamour of newspapers or media,8221; he added.
Gill also blamed former sports minister Mani Shankar Aiyar, claiming that the latter never bothered about meeting him despite repeated requests. 8220;I tried meeting him on a number of occasions but could never do so.
