
Father of murdered Dera Sacha Sauda manager Ranjit Singh on Monday claimed he was being threatened by people close to the sect who were telling him not to raise his voice against their leader.
8220;I have been getting threats from people close to the Dera, asking me to remain silent and not rake up the issue. At times, I am even told to compromise and have been assured that I will be compensated,8221; Ranjit8217;s father Joginder Singh said at a press conference organised here by All India Anti Terrorist Front Chairman, M S Bitta.
When asked if he had complained to the police about these threats, Joginder said, 8220;It is not easy to take up cudgels against the Dera head. I know what I have been going through to get justice.8221;
Meanwhile, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday directed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim to join investigations in connection with a case registered against him by the Punjab Police for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
