CHANDIGARH, JUNE 20: The Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam HVPN achieved a landmark yesterday when it supplied 472.33 lakh tonnes of electricity to its consumers in the state.

This is a record supply for any single day.

An official spokesman of the Nigam said until now, the maximum consumption for any single day was 458.05 lakh units on August 9 last year.

In the coming days, the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam is hopeful of achieving a consumption of more than 500 lakh units in a single day, the spokesman said.
