Those watching the Congress farmers’ rally in the Capital last week were surprised to find an overabundance of the colour pink. The bulk of people participating in the rally wore pink turbans and sported pink scarves around their necks. Matching them pink to pink was Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, seated on the dais, sporting a pink headgear. It turned out that the pink was a clever ruse by Hooda to show Sonia Gandhi that he alone had mobilised the crowd. With very few heads in the gathering showing any other colour, Hooda must certainly have coloured Sonia’s vision.
