DIET: I DON’T miss my meals because I think keeping the metabolism rate high is very important for a healthy body. I don’t believe in starvation diets for the simple reason that they put the metabolism rate on a different track altogether and there’s a risk that you might go on an eating binge afterwards. I like to eat many meals at small intervals. I never miss my vitamin pills. I go slow on my salt intake and avoid red meats. I am more of a leafy-green salad person and like to rustle up salads with vinegar dressing or chat masala. I don’t have a sweet tooth.
EXERCISE: THESE days I hardly get any time to exercise but my dance rehearsals make up for my cardio. I do Kathak for two hours daily which is a very strenuous form of dancing and this is as good as walking on a treadmill. Moreover, whenever I go abroad, I engage in a lot of adventure sports like windsurfing, hiking, cycling and mountaineering. I make maximum use of my outdoor shoots.
PROBLEM AREAS: I TEND to become underweight sometimes and this makes me look very bony. Since in movies we are required to maintain a certain weight, toning up the body becomes very important. I utilise most of my workouts for toning up.
