What is your fitness regime like? How long do you work out?

I enjoy working out. I have to do it religiously as it is a professional necessity. I work out six times a week and alternate between cardio and weights. Though I visit the Regent Hotel gym in Bandra, I have a treadmill and weights at home. I had a personal trainer for a year-and-a-half; but now I know so much about fitness that I can actually train people.

Do you practise yoga or kickboxing?

I do Tai Chi. It balances your energy and boosts immunity. I also meditate regularly. Earlier, I used to do yoga. I also dance a lot.

Tell us about your diet.

I am a very health-conscious vegetarian. I include a lot of fruits and salads in my diet. Even while shooting, I carry capsicum and carrot. These ensure a high energy level. Lunch comprises of vegetables, chana, dal, salad and fresh juice. I usually have coconut water instead of water during lunch. For snacks, I prefer nuts, especially raw nuts, which are not salted. Muesli bars are another favourite as they are not very sweet.

Is there anything you avoid eating?

I try and avoid bread, white flour, polished rice, milk and all dairy products. For breakfast, I have fruits and tea. Coffee is my only sin and I have it with soya milk and no sugar. Sometimes, I add honey to it. I am very particular about honey. I trust only the one that my grandfather makes in the Czech Republic.

What do you love eating the most?

My favourite cuisine is south Indian. I am a masala dosa freak and simply love the coconut chutney. I also like upma.
