diet: EIGHT months ago I embraced Sidh Samadhi Yog (SSY). My diet now consists of just raw fruits and vegetables. I’ve given up most processed foods. For breakfast, I have a glass of warm water, with honey and lemon. It’s followed by a cup of tea and some papaya. For lunch I have sabzi and dal. I have a chapati if I’m really hungry. I need my evening cup of tea and a snack of chivda or sev puri. I eat dinner before 10 pm. It consists of soup, sprouts and some dal. To satiate my meat craving, I have fish once in a while.
exercise: SSY requires me to do 15 minutes of Pranayam in the morning. It is a breathing pattern that improves physical and mental health. I meditate for 15 minutes before lunch. I’ve been doing Bharatnatyam for 10 years now, so I’m a habitual exerciser. I also go to the gym five times a week.
problem areas: MORE than a physical problem, I have a mental one. I don’t express anger and it’s proved unhealthy for me in the past. But SSY has helped me find ways to vent my emotions.
