
PUNE, Nov 27: RCC consultant Y S Sane today submitted the structural stability report to the Pune Municipal Corporation PMC giving a clean chit to the construction of the proposed hotel of Brahma Bajaj at the final plot number 100 and 101 TP scheme Sangamwadi as being 8220;safe and stable8221;.
Following the death of a labourer when the brick structure of the decorative arch at the construction site gave way, the general body meeting of the PMC yesterday had issued immediate demolition orders of the second arch. However, the civic administration had assured the house that an inspection team would visit the site and the certificate would be asked from the structural engineer regarding the safe nature of the construction.
According to S K Thorat, deputy city engineer, who visited the site along with city engineer Madhav Harihar and others, prima facie the structure was 8220;safe.8221; He also said that the Sane had also visited the site today and submitted the structural stability report.
According to the letter submitted by Sane, the RCC structure is designed for the main building of the basement, parking, ground, six upper floors along with podium and porch. The structural work carried out till today is as per our design and drawing and is safe and stable, Sane stated.
