In a new twist to the ban on cable television in the Valley, Hizbul Mujahideen and Pakistan-based Harkat-ul- Mujahideen has asked the cable operators to resume their services.
Hizbul Mujahideen has castigated the militant outfits, who called for ban on cable television, for threatening the 8216;8216;sincere separatist leadership8221;. The pro-freedom militant group has said 8216;8216;these threats will not be tolerated.8221;
The statement comes a day after four militant outfits 8212; Al Madina Regiment, Al-badr Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen 8212; in a joint statement warned the cable operators with dire consequences in case they fail to abide by their diktats. The militant outfits had also criticized Hizbul Mujahideen, Dukharan-I-Millat and hardline Hurriyat Conference who had urged them to revoke the ban.
8216;8216;The ban on cable television, in present circumstances, would only help the people involved in the sex scandal,8217;8217; spokesman of Hizbul Mujahideen, Junaid-ul-Islam told a local news agency. 8216;8216;The cable operators should resume their services immediately.8217;8217;

None of the militant outfit associated with United Jihad Council UJC has banned the cable operations in Valley.
